There are a number of filesystem-based drivers appearing in Cinder, with several using NFS. Shared filesystems are a powerful way to implement block storage but they present some unique challenges. I'd like to talk about the advantages and disadvantages, and to what degree Cinder can/should deal with them.
I can also present how NFS is involved with Manila, and where there is overlap and where there is not.
This session isn't about proposing any new ideas -- it's more about education and discussion. Also this session could be condensed down or combined.
