As part of neutron-nova parity effort it was decided to implement a Nova-network to Neutrom migration. This migration will allow an administrator to switch network manager of a running virtual machine instance from Nova-network's one to Neutron.
Current plan: Juno-1: Flat Nova to Flat Neutron Migration Juno-2: VlanManager to Neutron Juno-3: Multi-host migration
Things to be discussed:
1. Key points - Control plane outage will be necessary: - Needed to ensure resources are properly transitioned from Nova to Neutron - Instances should stay running and not need restarting. - Brief data plane outage is possible as some L3 services are transferred: - Routing - DHCP
